You are here: Home | ILT & E-Learning

Welcome to the section of the site dedicated to sharing information and resources in ILT and e-learning.

This section is intended as a resource for colleagues who want to get to filtered, useful resources. If you find or create a resource about ILT and e-learning that you want to share, please feel free to send us documents and/or links that we can publish.

The ILT and e-learning section is split into four categories.

You might find a single resource appears in more than one section. If this has happened, it will be because we think it crosses the boundaries between our headings.

Go to:

  • Theory and Practice This section houses resources on theories of learning and e-learning, and especially resources showing how theoretical positions and considerations have been put into practice. At the moment, it is not sub-divided into the theories, but it might be later as the resource bank grows.
  • Content This section deals with resources specifically about e-learning content. Here you will find resources about Learning Objects, content structure and management, and pedagogy as it relates to content building.
  • Infrastructure and Platforms Here we deal with infrastructure issues such as connectivity, but also with platform issues such as VLE's, MLE's and the dabates surrounding platforms for content delivery and learning management.
  • Supporting and Delivering Learning This section is about the processes we need to apply in ILT and e-learning. It contains resources about learning management, learning support, assessment and other process-related areas useful to teachers and managers.
