As part of the “We are reading IN Salford” initiative, Salford CLCnet became involved
in a competition for primary school children to design an online game based on
Michael Morpurgo’s Kensuke’s Kingdom.
The winning designs were submitted by pupils from St Paul’s (Crompton Street) CE Primary
and Westwood Park Primary School.
These were developed into games by one of Salford CLCnet’s commercial partners; Clear Creative.
The young designers spent an afternoon at Buile Hill CLC learning from
Clear Creative’s designer, Craig, how he had converted their ideas into Flash games
and, of course, testing the games.
Here is a link to the games – go on, have a go. And don’t forget to read the book!
We aim to build more games for you to try but in the meantime here are some
links to free online activities and games.
